Newbie Bloggers Blog Hop

I must add another blog hop because, well, they're a fun and great way to link up to other teachers around the world to share ideas and experiences! This one comes from Janis. Be sure to link up and share:
   1.  what state you are in

    2.  your current teaching position
    3.  your teaching experience
    4.  when you started blogging
    5.  share a blogging tip / blogging resource
My answers:
1. I'm in Oklahoma (Boomer Sooner!)
2. I will be teaching 4th grade in the fall
3. I have only taught for half a year, and it was in 1st grade (I came into the school in January '11)
4. I just started blogging at the end of July
5. Hmm...as I am still learning, I suppose a blogging tip would be to make sure you join in on these linky parties and blog hops, as they help wit exposure (plus, they're super fun)!

CURRENTLY linky party and PBIS training!

Hey! I decided to join up with Farley's Currently linky party over at Oh Boy, 4th Grade! After checking mine out, feel free to head on over to her page to join in as well.
This past week I had the opportunity to go to the PBIS Summer Institute for my district. As a member of our school's PBIS Committee, I got to help lay some basic foundations for how our school can positively and effectively operate. We created an acronym to help our students remember how they should conduct themselves and represent our school. Just working with the PBIS team has boosted my enthusiasm level for our school and community sky-high! Poor Mr. Roland had listened to me talk about it over, and over, and over again. Such a great husband, haha! :D

Since I'm new to the district, I will be going to a series of trainings known as the "New Teacher Induction.: Call me crazy, but I am legitimately excited to go! Who gets excited for trainings, especially when they're all day long? Well, this girl! I really just can't wait to get the ball rolling, and perhaps I just feel like all this will REALLY make it official! I have so much to be thankful for, indeed!
